From 28 to 30 October LIFTT had the opportunity to participate, as a Bronze Sponsor for the second consecutive year, at the Zero One Hundred Conference Mediterranean.

This year’s event was held in Milan at the Palazzo Mezzanotte Congress Centre – the headquarters of Borsa Italiana (the Italian Stock Exchange): an innovative and prestigious location that has been transformed into a dynamic hub for global investors, business innovators and public institutions to meet.

The event was the result of the collaboration between Zero One Hundred Conference, the Department for Economic Development of the City of Milan and Milano & Partners.

The Zero One Hundred Conference Mediterranean is an international Private Equity and Venture Capital conference that brings together leading fund investors (LPs) and fund managers (GPs) from Europe, MENA and North America, interested in the Mediterranean region. The conference attracted over 650 delegates, 300 LPs and 350 GPs, representing more than 300 investment funds and private equity players – a significant network of potential investors – and 130 speakers from 50 different countries participated in the various panels.

During the Conference, Maria Cristina Odasso, Head of Business Analysis at LIFTT, joined the Deep Tech VC Investment panel, moderated by Rocio Pillado – Partner at Adara Ventures. In her speech, Cristina discussed with the other speakers the most critical issues of the deeptech world, including the challenges of government grants, the complex patent landscapes in biotech, the feasibility of IPOs for deeptech startups, and the fundamental role of universities, research institutes and investors in building a thriving ecosystem.

These strategic topics, addressed in an ad-hoc setting, were designed precisely to foster spontaneous interaction and high-quality debate among the industry’s key players, as well as to enable the establishment of profitable and lasting relationships with high-profile investors.
