The rankings of the fifth and final cut-off of the PoC Instrument initiative funded by Compagnia di San Paolo, which LIFFT manages on behalf of the Links Foundation, have recently been published.
As reported in the past, this initiative is an important moment of realization of the mission of LIFFT, in the sense of bringing capital closer to the world of research to facilitate technology transfer.
It has also allowed us to identify extremely interesting technological solutions, in one of which we have already invested. Also on this occasion, our universities have demonstrated all the value, the skills of our researchers, presenting important projects in various fields: virtual training in health, renewable energy, artificial intelligence software with various applications, new solutions in pharma and medical devices.
On the cut off, 23 projects were presented: 10 by the Polytechnic of Turin, 8 by the University of Turin and 5 by the University of Genoa. The projects eligible for funding were 19 and eight were funded due to some limitations in available resources.
We are currently in the process of preparing and negotiating to repeat the initiative in the coming years, as proof of its validity.Final ranking of funded projects
