LIFTT is pleased to invite you to the 5GMETA hackathon, which will be held on March 29 and 30 in Turin.
The 5GMETA hackathon is organized in the context of the European project 5GMETA, in partnership with VTM (Vehicle & Transportation Technology Innovation Meetings), with the aim of bringing together the best SMEs and startups to imagine together the future of smart mobility.
During the hackathon, participants will work in teams and tackle three challenges: the first one is about road safety, the second one is about vehicle mobility while the last one focuses on services dedicated to individuals. Participants will have to develop ideas and business cases within 24 hours and conclude with a final presentation. A qualified jury will evaluate all projects and decide the best three with a total prize money of €5,000.
Vehicles generate huge volumes of real-time data on driving dynamics, the environment and driver and passenger behavior. The 5GMETA platform aims to leverage the data captured from cars to stimulate and facilitate the development of innovative products and services by providing them with data in a configurable way. 5GMETA will boost the automotive ecosystem, from industry players to new entrants, by providing access to interoperable data acquired from cars, thus becoming a strategic factor in both reducing costs and ensuring greater safety and security for different categories of road users.
Participation is free, the hackathon will last twenty-four hours from 9:30 am on March 29 and will take place in the multifaceted setting of Combo (Corso Regina Margherita, 128). The final award ceremony will take place during the opening session of the international convention VTM (Vehicle & Transportation Vehicle Innovation Meeting) at OGR (Corso Castelfidardo, 22), to which all companies participating in the hackathon will have free access.
The Hackaton will be held at Combo, TurinRegistration is now open, through the form available on the 5GMETA website.
